Shipping Status!

Hey Folks!
Just a quick update from us today:
Shipping
We are still unfortunately about two to three weeks away from beginning shipping. We're waiting for both the books and the patches to arrive from our manufacturers. We took a little bit of a timing hit because of some complications due to the pandemic, but we're confident that once we start shipping we'll be able to wrap up in a couple of days. So sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!
We've also heard reports from other creators that they are having some trouble shipping internationally due to new restrictions. We'll let you know the latest as we cross those hurdles.
Writing
In other news, writing continues at a brisk pace on Glow! We've locked down the first half of the next book (issues 5 and 6) and are moving onto the latter half now. It's been quite the battle figuring out how to get all of the elements we want in place, but we think we're at a really good place now and hopefully can ride the momentum through. Our big writing goal for this year is hashing out all 12 issues of the first 'season.' We're making good progress, but still bit of ways to go. Still plenty of time though and our focus through the summer will be here.
In related news, I put together a story breakdown for an episode of Avatar:The Last Airbender today on our blog. Check it out!
I feel like both Vince and I are evolving and getting much stronger in our writing. It never gets easier, but hopefully the work gets better.
Production
We're also moving full steam ahead with Issue #5. We've recently been crewing up and trying to get the infrastructure in place to go, go, go once the writing is all in place. That's part of the impetus of going after all 12 issues this year - in the past, we've been more stop and go as the writing needed to catch up to the art and vice versa. This year, we're trying to get far ahead in the writing process so that we can focus our efforts on building our studio production system. It's a lot of work but we've had a lot of time!
Timeline
After we ship Glow, we'll be jumping back for the penultimate edition of Skies of Fire, issue #7. That issue is currently going under its last color and lettering revisions. If you've been a fan of our work at all these past few years, you will not want to miss it. It is in a lot of ways the culmination of our entire journey thus far.

Hey Backers!
Hope you're all doing well in quarantine! It's been a fruitful couple of weeks for Vince and I as social distancing has allowed us a lot of face to face virtual time to work on our creative endeavors. We've been laying track on the next arc of Glow , pushing Skies of Fire #8, and doing some 'virtual gardening' work across our digital backyard.
We're also happy to report that the funds from the Kickstarter have transferred through and we are going ahead with fulfillment! This week we'll be sending out BackerKit surveys and ordering all of the things included with this campaign, including books and patches!

New Artist: Vinsensius Suriantoo

We're excited to announce we've brought on board a new artist for the next arc of Glow! His name is also Vinse, but spelled with an S. Like Anny and Bryan, he hails from Indonesia and we think his style is going to be a seamless fit for the series. We're stoked with the work he's produced for us thus far and can't wait to see him tackle a battle scene!!
BackerKit, Fulfillment Timeline, Etc.
Expect the BackerKit to go out tomorrow or Wednesday. We will be sourcing our books this week as well and so far we're not sure how the current situation is going to impact our manufacturing pipeline. We'll let you know as soon as we know.

Finally, to close out today's update we have a Kickstarter shoutout for friend of Mythopoeia, Smon Amadeus Pillario! Simon is creating a comic adaptation of the Gospel of Matthew. He's previously done other biblical adaptations in the past.

Last 48 Hours! Final Campaign Push, Badge Unlocked, etc!

Hey Folks!
Stonehand Badge Unlocked!
Yesterday we hit $15k! Which means we've unlocked the Stonehand Badge! Hurrah! Here's the final design:
The final will be approximately 3x3" in size. The Nymeran translates as "Five as One."
Thank you all for helping us get to this point. A big up to all of our returning fans that gave us a boost last week. Hopefully we'll have more prodigal backers in these last 48 hours as we try to end on the strongest note possible!
Knock / Nock... Who's there? A typo!
Alright folks, we know there's a typo in the books, as has been pointed out to us several times by discerning folks.
Whoops.
We apologize. Knock should Nock. Mea culpa. Our bad. We can change it digitally but unfortunately issue three (where the typo lives) has already been printed. Again, we apologize. We'll try to do better with our spelling in the future and it will be corrected in future print issues!
Social Media Push!
We'll be squawking loudly these next 48 hours on social media! We would really appreciate it if you could help us spread awareness about the project as we hit this home stretch!
And Now For Some Real Talk:
This campaign hasn't quite reached the heights of our previous ones, and to be honest if this is the new normal it's going to be a struggle making more issues of Glow. A single issue costs around $9,000 worth of art to produce. In the past we've been able to cover that with the size of our campaigns, but the margins this time are razor thin. It's looking like we'll also be short around $3-5k from convention sales this year which is super unfortunate....
We'll be able to dip into some of our profits from Skies #6 for the next issue and hopefully a trade hardcover collecting Glow #1-4 will make up the difference, but with the economy looking the way it is... who knows what'll happen.
So if you love this comic like we do and want to see it keep going, you can help immensely by spreading the word. We're notoriously social media shy and don't like tooting our own horns. We've always had a 'let the work speak for itself' mentality but times like this our deficiencies feel really glaring. You're already here, supporting our project, and for that we are eternally grateful. But if you'd like to help a little bit more, the best thing you can do is share this project on all your social media channels: facebook, twitter, instagram, reddit, etc.
